MU Dining Hall food (review)

For those of you who are juniors and seniors in high school and are thinking about possible colleges and universities to apply to, then please do me a favor and CHECK OUT THIS BLOGPOST. Today my friend and I decided to have lunch in the dining hall here at (MU) Marymount University. Last Tuesday when we went, we had pretty decent food. Today, however...

I mean come on, what is that GLOB. Looks like moldy, six week old, mashed potatoes scooped out from the sewage system in Pakistan. (Let the record show that it was not mashed potatoes, I am still in doubt as to what it was that I ate today). As my friend said, "It looks like straight up prison food." Well said.

I believe one of today's theme was mexican food, so they had home made salsa without the, well, salsa- and by that I mean no tomato sauce as the base. It was diced tomatoes and chopped onions served with baked tortilla bread, garbanzo, green, black, and kidney beans, and some cold pesto-flavored macaroni. The tortilla bread and "salsa" were not too bad to be quite honest.

They also had southern styled food, the traditional biscuit and chicken. I could say something very stereotypical right now, but I won't. Fries are always a plus.

And let us not forget about sushi

Today they had salmon sushi..

...as well as fried vegetable sushi..

...And then vegetarian (cucumber to be precise) sushi.

You can never go wrong with sushi. I absolutely love it, and in the end it made me so full that I did not have any space left for dessert. Oh well, it was totally worth it.

In final analysis, if food has a place for you in your deciding factor as to what college you will end up choosing, Marymount will be at the very far end of your list. First of all, we only have two eating venues- the dining hall (which is where these photos were taken par moi) and then Bernie's (which is like the chill-out-lounge cafeteria). Marymount University is a very small-concentrated population, as it is a private institute. That can be a plus or a negative, it depends on you as a person. But if food is very near and dear to your heart, cross Marymount off of your list. You're welcome.

Until next time,

XOXO
